Living Your Passion
I like to meet new people online. Some of the best places to do that is a Social Networking site, like MySpace, YUWIE, FacePage, etc. You can find people from all over the world who share the same interests as you. That said, you also find too many people hanging out online because they are bored. Ask them. They will be more than happy to tell you how bored they are. These are people who haven't yet made a decision to live a more passionate life. Personally, I can't imagine ever being bored. One of my passions is music. I have been learning the guitar all my life. There is not a day that goes by when I don't pick it up, even for a few minutes. I'm approaching my mid fifties and I take lessons every week. Learning new techniques and more about music is what I like to do. I even started a Guitar Player's Club on one of the social networks. I have met online, guitar players from all over the world through this. It's an amazing resource. How do you discover your passionate life? It doesn't take a lot of soul searching. Take a few minutes and ask yourself a few easy questions. What things in life do you feel compelled to do? What things would you do for free? What things make you feel the best? Now that you have your list, incorporate more of these things into your daily life. Don't say you don't have the time or resources. That's an excuse. You don't have the time NOT to live a passionate life. Goethe said, "Things which matter most should never be at the mercy of things which matter least." Start doing more of the things that put a spring in your step, a sparkle in your eyes, and goosebumps down your spine. |
